The value of financial liabilities of Italian households, which include short-term and long-term loans for consumer credit, house purchasing, and loans for other purposes, peaked at approximately 712.5 billion euros in 2018. A glance at the graph reveals that the vast majority of these liabilities consisted of long-term loans (approximately 666 billion euros).
