According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2024, around 43 percent of 16 to 24-year-old respondents in China who have consumed plant-based alternatives said they chose to do so because plant-based products were healthier. Meanwhile, 73 percent of respondents above 54 years old confirmed this reason.
