Value of general gross direct premiums India FY 2022, by insurer type
In fiscal year 2022, private general insurers in India generated over one trillion Indian rupees in gross direct premiums. This was the highest value of gross direct premiums that year, followed by public insurers generating around 783 billion rupees. In total, the country saw more than two trillion rupees worth of gross direct premiums that year.
