According to a survey carried out in Brazil between October 14 and 20 of 2020, approximately 22 percent of respondents declared not having the intention to purchase Christmas presents that year. Out of these consumers, 22 percent stated they are not buying gifts due to lack of money. In turn, 24 percent claimed that the main reason to not buy Christmas gifts in 2020 was because they were unemployed
