A share of 58 percent of respondents reckoned that the usage of grocery apps across the Middle East and North Africa would likely increase during Ramadan 2020. The Muslim fasting month of Ramadan will take place from 23rd April to 22nd May 2020.

The original question was phrased as follows:" How would you rate the usage of online applications for the below broad categories during Ramadan - Grocery apps (like Instashop, Carrefour, etc.) "

The insights were based on a fresh analysis of 13 billion searches on Google, YouTube, and Google Maps and 23 billion YouTube videos. Also, about 1,500 people in the U.A.E. were asked about Ramadan and Eid through the Google Consumer Surveys.
