Respondents' reasons why they don't save money in Malaysia 2019

According to a survey conducted in Malaysia in 2019, about 33 percent of respondents did not save money because they were focusing on paying off their debts first. In 2018, the highest share of respondents saving any money in the past year was among people between the age of 15 and 24 years, with around 73 percent, while only about 44 percent of surveyed respondents with primary education or less saved any money.
