Diesel consumption in Malaysia 2012-2022 by type of usage
In 2022, it was estimated that the usage of Diesel fuel for on-road transport in Malaysia would amount up to 7.6 billion liters, indicating an increase from around 7.2 billion liters in the previous year. Gasoline-powered vehicles are the most sold vehicles in Malaysia, accounting for over 80 percent of new vehicle sales. Meanwhile, diesel-powered vehicle sales are growing at a slow pace.
