According to a survey of U.S. adults in 2019, 66 percent of respondents who had student loan debt totaling from 20,000 to under 35,000 U.S. dollars reported that taking on student loan debt was not worth it. 100 percent of respondents with 200,000 to under 250,000 U.S. dollars of debt said the same.
