Top countries for remittances by people in their 30s in South Korea 2018, by amount
According to an analysis of remittances in South Korea in 2018, the U.S. was the top destination country where Koreans in their 30s sent or received remittances from, amounting to an average of 38 thousand U.S. dollars per capita in 2018. The amount for the U.S. was much greater than that of any other top destination countries for this age group. Canada was second with an average amount of 25 thousand dollars. In terms of how many remittances were made to each country, the U.S. was the most popular, followed by Vietnam and Canada.
