U.S. adults' views same-sex marriage by party 2001-2019

In the United States, moderate/liberal Republicans and conservative/moderate Democrats both have expressed similar levels of support - and growth in support - for sex marriage between 2001 and 2019. In 2001, the level of support was 37 percent and 39 percent respectively; by 2019, this had increased to 59 percent and 64 percent respectively.
