Volume of Moscow lab anti-doping data manipulations in Russia in 2019

In December 2019, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned Russian athletes from competing as a nation in major world-level sporting events for four years. The reason behind this decision was the manipulation of doping test samples that were submitted by Russia to WADA in January 2019. In total, the database included 578 samples of almost 300 Russian athletes. However, experts of the organization could not access information on 145 sportspersons, stating that it was deleted.
