Total deposits at SBM Bank in India 2016-2019
The Indian arm of the erstwhile State Bank of Mauritius, known today as SBM Bank, had deposits worth around ten billion Indian rupees at the end of fiscal year 2019. This was a decrease in the value of deposits compared to the previous financial year, when the bank had around 12 billion rupees as deposits.
SBM Bank was the first ever foreign bank in India to receive a banking license from the Reserve Bank of India and in 2018, it announced operations as a new Indian bank.
