In 2021, the total revenue of Cineworld Group plc stood at around 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, up 112 percent from the 852.3-million-dollar revenue reported a year earlier. Despite the increase, the 2021 figure amounted to less than 42 percent of the holding's revenue in 2019, before the pandemic. Meanwhile, the global box office gross in 2021 amounted to little more than half of the 2019 result.
