On-the-spot no pollution certificate prosecutions by Delhi traffic police 2014-2018

In 2018, the number of on-the-spot prosecutions for not having pollution certificates made by the Delhi traffic police in India was around 46 thousand. That year, two-wheelers had the highest number of traffic violations across the capital city. In 2018, almost 46 percent of the victims killed in road accidents in Delhi, were pedestrians. Lack of foot-over bridges, pedestrian crossings and lax road safety rules could be the reasons for such accidents.
