The number of international overnight stays in the Italian municipality of Venice rose sharply in 2022 over the previous year, following a dramatic drop with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In 2022, the United States was the leading inbound market in the city based on overnight stays, with roughly 1.6 million. France and Germany followed in the ranking that year, with around 1.1 million and 975 thousand overnight stays, respectively.
