Brazil: number of orders on Black Friday 2020, by region
During 2020's Black Friday, more than 3.3 million online orders were processed in the Southeast region of Brazil. This means this region – comprising the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo – accounted for around 62 percent of all Black Friday online purchases made in Brazil that year. The Northeast region (that is, the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, and Sergipe) saw almost 828,000 online orders processed on the date, which translated into roughly 15.5 percent of all Black Friday online orders in the South American country that year.
