Indonesia was mentioned as the world’s second-largest plastic polluters of the ocean and furthermore deforestation of peatlands made Indonesia the world's third largest emitter of greenhouse gases. But the rise of social media made Indonesians more aware of current environmental issues. Some of the plastic-related crisis have become trending topics in social media in Indonesia.
