Anticipated split of spend for stimulus checks in the United States March 2021
In order to support the economy in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the U.S. government has approved a number of economic stimulus checks since the crisis began. Just over 40 percent of consumers in the United States, receiving the latest stimulus payment in March of 2021, expected to use it to increase their savings, while an estimated 20 percent planned to use the check to help pay for essential monthly expenses.
