Nonguaranteed private sector debt is debt that has been taken out by private companies but which is not guaranteed for repayment by a public entity.
Low income countries are defined by the source as countries with a 2015 GNI per capita of 1,025 U.S. dollars or less.
Middle income countries are defined by the source as countries with a 2015 GNI per capita of between 1,026 and 12,475 U.S. dollars.
The source only included long-term debt with a maturity of more than one year.
