The source defines domestic credit to private sector as: "financial resources provided to the private sector by financial corporations, such as through loans, purchases of nonequity securities, and trade credits and other accounts receivable, that establish a claim for repayment.
Low income countries are defined by the source as countries with a 2015 gross national income (GNI) per capita of 1,025 U.S. dollars or less.
Middle income countries are defined by the source as countries with a 2015 GNI per capita of between 1,026 and 12,475 U.S. dollars.
