Trappist beer is beer produced by Trappist monks in their monasteries. In Belgium, there are currently six Trappist beers, Chimay, Westmalle, Orval, Rochefort, Achel and Westvleteren. In 2018, the production of Chimay beer was the highest, at roughly 185,000 hectoliters.
