Total duration of visit to an A&E department in England 2016-2018
In 2018, nine percent of attendees to an accident and emergency (A&E) department in England said that their overall visit took less than one hour, this is a decline from 2016 when eleven percent of visits took less than one hour. In both years, six percent of those who visited A&E were there for more than twelve hours.
