Third-country nationals enforced to leave Italy 2014-2019

In 2019, around six thousand migrants were forced to leave Italy. Data refer to the implementation of the enforcement procedure which imposes the obligation to return.
According to national immigration laws, 26.9 thousand people were illegally present on the Italian territory as of 2019. In the same year, 25.7 thousand asylum requests submitted in Italy were denied.
