Forest and marine conservation areas distribution Indonesia 2018
In 2018, approximately 24 percent of the forested area in Indonesia were declared as protected forests, while 23 percent of the forest area was used as permanent production forest. Indonesia had managed to reduce its rate of deforestation since 2015.
