In a 2018 survey carried out in England, 76 percent of parents with children aged between 12 years and 15 years said they were definitely kept informed by the hospital staff during the time their child was in hospital. Among parents of children aged under seven years, 68 percent said they definitely kept informed about what was happening whilst their child was in hospital.
