
Arrests for far-right terrorism in France 2013-2020
Law enforcement agencies made nearly 70 arrests in connection with far-right terrorist activity in France between 2013 and 2020. The highest number of arrests over this period occurred in 2018. Far-right terrorism refers to neo-Nazi and neo-fascist movements as well as ultranationalist groups that advocate cultural, religious, sexual, or ethnic supremacism against other groups or minorities. Attacks and violence perpetrated on a person because of his or her membership in a sexual, religious, or ethnic minority are counted as extreme right-wing terrorist acts.
