Leasing volumes in the office real estate sector in the U.S. plummeted in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift toward hybrid work. Despite a gradual increase in the floor space leased, in the third quarter of 2024, leasing activity remained below the pre-pandemic levels.
