In 2018, roughly 57 percent of Belgians consumed fruits daily. Although the recommended amount is five fruits and vegetables a day, 20 percent of people ate fruits only one to three times a week. Furthermore, over 10 percent of Belgians never included fruits in their diet or less than once a week.
