Eurosport: French athletes of the year 2019

This ranking of the French athletes of the year 2019 was established by the editorial staff of Eurosport.fr. That year, the editorial staff elected the French cyclist Julian Alaphilippe.

Heavily leading this ranking, the member of the Deceuninck-Quick Step team Julian Alaphilippe also dominated the provisional classification of the best cyclists of the year for several weeks. Thanks to his victories in the Classics, such as Milan-San Remo, as well as its outstanding 2019 Tour de France.

The 2019 most anticipated sport events gave other athletes the opportunity to shine during the year. Indeed the World Judo Championships in Tokyo witnessed the fourth coronation of Clarisse Agbegnenou, among the most successful French judoka history along with Teddy Riner.
