In the United Kingdom in 2019, year-on-year growth in digital consumer entertainment spending was up by almost ten percent, while spending on physical entertainment was down by over 20 percent. Video saw the biggest growth in digital compared to the previous year, and also the biggest decline in the share of spending on physical entertainment. The share of digital gaming spend grew by just one percent in 2019.
