Poultry livestock on agricultural holdings in the UK June 2018, by type

In June 2018, the number of broiler chickens in the United Kingdom came to about 124 million animals. This is more than three times the number of animals that are laying eggs for consumption. Compared to the previous years, both 2017 and 2018 have seen an increase in broiler livestock numbers. Only the number of poultry livestock that isn't chickens has been declining over the covered period in question. The number of all types of chickens has been growing since 2010.
