* Prices for the United States were estimated by the Health Care Cost Institute using claims data on the commercially insured under age 65 who obtain health insurance through their employer.
Prices for Australia, Germany, Holland, New Zealand , South Africa, Switzerland, the UAE and the UK are are derived from unpublished local industry sources, collected and collated by the iFHP.
USA prescription drug prices are average point of sale price, which reflects discounts from the wholesale price, but not manufacturer rebates.
Drug prices for the UK were derived from the 2019 British National Formulary, which form the basis for both public and private drug prices.
All prices are based on 2017 data, converted at prevailing 2017 exchange rates to US dollars.
