Behavior toward farmed animal welfare 2018, by country
As of September 2018, a survey was conducted by Faunalytics concerning the attitudes and behaviors towards the welfare of farmed animals. The study was carried out among people living in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and in the United States (U.S.). According to the survey results, 64 percent of the Brazilians under survey stated that the well-being of farmed animals has priority over low meat prices. Such opinion was shared by more than half of the people participating in the questionnaire and living in Russia, United Stated (U.S.) and India. 56 percent of the Chinese respondents did not express any strong opinion about the topic.
