Opinion on assisted suicide for terminal illnesses in Great Britain in 2019
As of 2019 assisted suicide remains illegal in all parts of Great Britain despite multiple legal challenges in recent years. Although it is currently illegal, assisted suicide in cases of terminal illness has support in Great Britain, with 61 percent of the general British population and 67 percent of British healthcare professionals believing that it should be legal in these circumstances.
