Monthly inbound tourist arrivals in Florence 2019-2022, by accommodation type
The number of international tourist arrivals in Florence increased significantly in 2022 compared to the first two years of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That said, it remained below pre-pandemic levels. Overall, the city's travel accommodation establishments reported the highest number of arrivals in July. That month, Florence's hotels recorded around 257 thousand arrivals by international visitors. Meanwhile, inbound arrivals in non-hotel establishments reached nearly 170 thousand.
