Global opinion on Russia's political influence 2019

The findings of the survey by IPSOS in 2019 revealed that 45 percent of the global audience expected Russia to influence world affairs in the following decade. Two years earlier, this figure was recorded at 50 percent. One quarter of respondents worldwide in spring 2019 considered Russia to be using its influence both for good and bad.

The original question was worded by the source as follows:" "Thinking about the next decade, would you say the following countries or organizations will have an overall positive or a negative influence on world affairs?" The results represent the share of respondents worldwide strongly positive or somewhat positive of Russia's influence.

* In some countries, respondents were aged 16 to 74 years, and in some 18 to 74 years. Some samples were nationally representative, and some were not. The methodology is described on page 2 of the report.

"The precision of Ipsos online polls are calculated using a credibility interval with a poll of 1,000 accurate to +/- 3.1 percentage points and of 500 accurate to +/- 4.5 percentage points."
