Corruption perceptions index of CIS countries 2022

Among countries located in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, Georgia, which withdrew from the CIS organization in 2008, had the highest corruption perception score of 56 index points, indicating lowest perception of corruption among other countries in the region. Armenia ranked second with 46 points.

The CPI is a composite indicator that includes data on the perception of corruption in areas such as bribery of public officials, kickbacks in public procurement, embezzlement of state funds, and effectiveness of governments' anti-corruption efforts.

A score of 0 indicates high perceptions of corruption and a score of 100 indicates that no corruption is perceived in the respective country.

Turkmenistan is an associate state in the CIS, Ukraine and Georgia have never been members and have withdrawn from the organization.
