According to a survey conducted among Italian tourists who visited the metropolitan area of Florence between August 2018 and July 2019, hotels were the most popular accommodations. According to the data, roughly 31 percent of tourists involved in the survey stayed in hotels while visiting the city. Moreover, roughly 16 percent of respondents stayed in bed and breakfasts as of the survey period.
