Share of women in the Danish Parliament 1990-2019

From 1990 to 2019, the share of women in the Danish parliament, Folketinget, fluctuated but increased overall. The fewest women were represented in the parliament in 1990 and 1994, amounting to 33.7 percent both years. In comparison, the most women were elected into Folketinget in 2011 and in 2019, with a share of 39.1 percent women. Among the Nordic countries, Denmark is the only country, which have never reached more than 40 percent women in the parliament.
