Opinion on important factors that help men get ahead in Malaysia 2019
While Malaysia has made significant progress in the past few years in reducing gender inequality, the level of gender inequality is still high compared to other developed countries. In a survey on women's equality conducted by Ipsos in 2019, the leading factor that Malaysian respondents' perceived to help men get ahead was working hard, with 41 percent of respondents sharing this view. However, according to Malaysian respondents, this factor was not seen as the most important factor for the women to get ahead in their country.
