Number of Russian tourists in Crimea during New Year's 2019-2023

Nearly 180 thousand tourists from Russia visited Crimea during the New Year's and Christmas holiday season at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. The visitor count saw a significant decrease from the previous year, when it stood at 265 thousand. On December 25, 2019, a passenger railway was opened on the Crimean bridge connecting the Krasnodar Krai of Russia with the Republic of Crimea annexed in 2014.
