OCR employment by insurance businesses in Russia 2021, by operation
More than one half of the surveyed Russian insurance industry experts in 2021 stated that they had no plans for optical character recognition technology employment in finance and accounting, compared to nearly 40 percent having no such plans for claim settlement. However, the probability of implementing such technologies in the future was high. Only seven percent of the polled audience revealed full-scale usage of OCR for financial operations, while approximately one quarter of insurers used pilot projects of OCR in claim settlement.
