EAEU: excise tax rates on cigarettes by country and type 2019

Russia led the list as the country with the highest excise rates on all the listed types of cigarettes among EAEU countries in 2019. Except for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, excise taxes on cigarettes were more elevated than on other types of cigarettes. Similar excise tax rates were presented on cigarettes with and without a filter across the countries under consideration, with Belarus accounting for the lowest rates.
