Web advertisement investments in France 2018-2019, by type of channel

The statistic represents the amount of online advertisement investments per channel in France in 2018 and 2019. According to the source, the biggest actors remained search engines with a 2,275 million euros advertising investment in 2018 and 2,477 million euros in 2019. Investments in social media ads had around 21 percent growth from 2018 to 2019. Display advertisements comprising audio formats, in- and out-stream commercial content saw a rise in expenditure of 132 million. Other emailing, comparator or affiliation sites ascended by seven percent.

For the methodology, the source has gathered public reports by the SRI's (20 Minutes, 366, 3W.relevanC, Amaury Media, Boursorama, Canal+ Brand Solutions, CMI Media, Drive Media, Dailymotion, France TV Publicité, GMC Media, Lagardère Publicité News, Leboncoin, Les Echos Le Parisien Médias, M Publicité-Régie Obs, M6 Publicité, MEDIA.figaro, Meltygroup, Mondadori MediaConnect, Next Media Solutions, NRJ Global, Orange Advertising, Prisma Media Solutions, SeLoger, Solocal et TF1 Publicitéandt Verizon Media), and from Udecam. 40 qualitative and quantitative interviews were carried out and public information was gathered for this statistic.

The 40 interviews were carried out between June and July 2019.
