Perception of leading areas for future gender equality progress in Japan 2019
According to a survey on women's equality conducted by Ipsos in 2019, around 27 percent of respondents in Japan viewed child care and household chores as the most important area for achieving more gender equality in the future. In contrast, only five percent of Japanese respondents claimed that the achievement of equality is unnecessary in their country.
