TikTok usage distribution in the U.S. 2022, by age
As of April 2022, almost half of TikTok users in the United States were between 18 and 34 years, making up the largest demographic group for the platform. TikTok users aged between 12 and 17 made up approximately 17.7 percent of the popular social video app user base in the United States, while 2.5 percent of TikTok users in the country were 11 years old or younger. While TikTok requires users to be at least 12 years old to have a profile, kids and younger children can access the TikTok Younger Users experience.
