Japan: likelihood of bicycle accident by time 2019

According to a survey conducted in September 2019 among cyclists in Japan, morning and evening rush hour periods were the most common times of the day for encountering (near) accidents involving bicycles. The survey results revealed that over 44 percent of respondents have experienced or just managed to avoid bicycle accidents during early evening hours, when the commuter traffic usually picks up.
