Number of 24-hour internet shutdowns India 2012-2022
As of June 2022, India noted 58 instances of internet shutdowns that lasted for 24 hours or less. This number was much higher in 2020 with 72 reported instances of 24 hour internet shutdowns across the country. Overall, 93 of the 381 internet shutdowns that occurred between 2012 and 2020 lasted less than 24 hours in the south-Asian country.
