Dry January attempts in Great Britain 2020, by age

In 2020, nine percent of those aged between 35 and 44 years in Great Britain attempted Dry January, the highest share of attempts across the age groups. Seven percent of those aged between 18 and 24 years also attempted Dry January in this year, although 23 percent of respondents in this age group normally do not drink alcohol at any time.
In January 2020, just over half of all those who attempted Dry January in Great Britain succeeded fully in giving up alcohol for the whole month.
