Splice Sounds: total payouts to musicians worldwide 2017-2020

In February 2020, it was reported that music creation and collaboration platform Splice had paid out 25 million U.S. dollars in royalties to the musicians who had created music for the Splice Sounds library, up from 15 million U.S. dollars a year earlier. Splice Sounds is a library containing millions of royalty-free samples and offers artists the chance to distribute their sounds and subsequently monetize them. Users pay a monthly fee to download a set number of samples, and artists are then compensated based on the frequency of their sounds being downloaded.

Total royalties paid out to musicians distributing their music on the Splice Sounds marketplace worldwide from December 2017 to February 2020
